Did you find it easy to set up and get started on the road to self employment? What helped you?
Despite people telling me I ought to make a business of photography, I was just too scared. But one day I just made the decision. It was after having my first child, I realised that I needed to step up my game if I'm to inspire my kids to follow their dreams.
What inspires you in your daily business life?
I LOVE photographing women, they are just so inspirational to me. I am really enjoying my tailor made head shots, it gives the client time and space for just them, it is a truly empowering process. Women often surprise themselves when they see that they are photogenic, they just need to feel at home.
When I get great feedback on the results that's a bonus. It's the effect you create with photography that is special.
Do you have a business or personal motto? What is it and why?
Well I started business with a tagline of 'Capturing moments', but I feel my business has become more than that. My aim in my photography is to empower individuals by bringing out their best and to demonstrate the beauty and intimacy of relationships, whether in a portrait or at an event.
Why? Because I know communication is the most important thing in the world, when I take photos, that's what I'm doing, communicating, that's what I'm capturing, communication.
Why did you join the Mumpreneurs Networking Club and what advantages has it had for your business?
