When did you become a manager of MNC and why did you make the leap from member to manager?
I was never a member of MNC! I attended a Chichester meeting, which was Dawn Gracie’s first as manager, absolutely loved the meeting and thought it would be a great idea locally to me. So I asked if they had thought of my area and met Sara to discuss it and 2 months later I signed up and launched as manager.
What has been the most exciting thing to happen to you as a result of MNC?
Being nominated and shortlisted for women of the year in the health category in 2012 and business woman category in 2013 and attending in 2012 and getting dressed up in finery of a long dress for the first time ever!
If you could describe us in 3 words what would it be?
Supportive, friendly, motivating
Tell us about your business.
I have been a therapist since 2000 and have a passion for complementary therapies and in that time I have learnt a lot about business through volunteering with The Federation of Small Businesses and MNC which has helped to keep mine going. In 2012 I got the idea to help other therapists and pass my knowledge on of running a therapy business as many leave college really good at their therapies but not knowing how to set up and market their business. So I set up Ali’s Therapy Academy as online support and with workshops and 1-2-1 mentoring – with marketing, advertising, social media, networking, client list building and much more.
