The Big Knicker Revolution Has Begun!

They say necessity is the mother of invention – no phrase is more apt in the case of entrepreneur Gina Bradbury-Budd, a one-woman powerhouse leading the revolution against frumpy granny pants!

After countless shopping trips, trying and failing to find high-waisted knickers that were both sexy yet comfortable, Gina came to realise how the high street was letting the vast majority of women down. So instead of resting on her laurels, in 2012 she decided to take action and shake up the world of lingerie as we know it...

Her range Sexy Big Pants (SBP) offers women comfortable high-waisted briefs which don’t compromise on style and sex appeal. Designs come in UK sizes 10 to 20 and feature gorgeous Italian laces and embroidery, along with provocative cut-out panels to frame the curve of the derriere. All briefs are highly flattering with light-control stretch fabric so that women not wanting to expose their stomachs can ditch the granny pants and slip into something a great deal more desirable.

A former PA and Project Manager working within marketing and advertising agencies, Gina had no previous experience within the lingerie industry and naturally experienced many knock-backs when setting up her business. Luckily her perseverance and passion paid off, with the brand officially launching in October 2013.

Gina’s primary concern was to produce garments that were of the highest quality. She initially used a company in Asia to manufacture her designs, but as the results failed to meet her high standards, she then decided to take her business elsewhere. She eventually found a reputable lingerie manufacturer within the EU, and despite her production costs doubling, she got the quality and results she was looking for.

Launching SBP this year, Gina’s brand has already generated a Twitter buzz from high profile media figures including journalist and author India Knight, The Guardian blogger The Invisible Woman and author Betty Herbert.

I want SBP to be the brand women think of when they are looking for larger knickers that are comfortable and good quality but are also pretty, stylish and sexy too. I would love women to have as much affection for ‘SBP’ as they do for their ‘LBD’.” – Gina Bradbury-Budd
