Introducing Louise Walsh, our newest Mumpreneur Manager

Richmond and Twickenham - First Meeting Friday 13th September

louise walshLouise has always lived in the Richmond borough (apart from a year or so out to Hampshire!) and loves the area 'It's a great place to live, so much to do with & without children, there's easy access to the coast/country and great links into central London. The local business support is amazing and it's so refreshing to see local business get support and publicity from the community and the council via local events and social media platforms.

Louise is a registered nurse and has worked in palliative care, in the community as a district nurse, on surgical units and in a walk-in-centre; 'I love being a nurse, it can be the most exhausting & frustrating job in the world, but also the most heart-warming & rewarding. It has made me appreciate everything..to take nothing for granted'.

Louise is mummy to her little 3 year old daughter; 'Milly is my world, I absolutely LOVE being a mummy! Everything I do has to work around our life & needs to have flexibility, being a single mum means I have to be very organised but that keeps me on my toes!'

Louise has invested in her business for the future of herself & her daughter, she understands the struggles and stresses of starting and running a business and wants to help others in similar situations; 'I’m lucky that I love what I do but it's tough out there, competition is high and the financial climate makes everything that bit harder, but there is a lot of help to be had and business networking is exactly what's needed for support, local referrals, education, tips and trade-offs'.

Louise hopes her meetings will be fun friendly and informative; 'I hope people will come & enjoy the informal  non-pressurised business networking Mumpreneurs are renowned for' 'Women have a lot to offer and are full of ideas, and in most households 'wear the trousers' so who's better to do business with...;-)'

Louise has always had a passion for dermatology & the skin, which is what started her quest many moons ago, to help people get 'Optimum Skin Health'.  Louise's business 'Elegance' offers treatments & products to treat and prevent many types of skin conditions, such as pigmentation, acne, scarring, rosacea, and of course the big one; ageing!  Currently working from Harley Street & more locally from home Louise hopes to open her own clinic in Teddington or Twickenham when Milly is in school.
